PROJECT: Mall @ Reds Solar Installation

Sunspec Solar completed a large-scale commercial solar energy system at Mall @ Reds, designed to drastically reduce grid dependency and operating costs for one of Centurion’s busiest retail hubs.

The installation combines high-capacity photovoltaic (PV) generation with advanced lithium storage and inverter technology, forming a fully integrated clean-energy system for long-term sustainability.

PROJECT BRIEF:

The client required a reliable and cost-efficient renewable power solution that could support continuous daily operations and peak-time consumption.

Sunspec Solar engineered and implemented a hybrid solar power plant capable of offsetting a major portion of the mall’s electricity usage while providing seamless power continuity during load-shedding.

PROJECT: Overview

Sunspec Solar’s engineering team handled the complete turnkey process — from system design, permitting, and logistics to full mechanical and electrical installation.

All components were selected for maximum efficiency and reliability, including high-output monocrystalline panels and Tier 1 inverters.

The 2 MWh Luna containerized battery system provides sufficient energy storage to stabilize peak loads, maintain power during outages, and optimize time-of-use billing cycles.
